The exhibition tells the remarkable story of the scientists and
mariners who explored the far reaches of the North Pacific
under the Russian flag. Included are over 400 native artifacts, rare
scientific specimens, journalsand navigational instruments. To bring
the story to life the 4000 sq. ft. installation includes a full scale
recreated ships cabin animated with the motion and sounds of
the sea, a 40 foot long recreated shore camp, a touch screen
interactive map and video, hands-on science exhibits and
visitor activated audio programs.
