Generosity is a Universal Language
Over time this design evolved into something much simpler than where we started. For the visually impaired, contrast does not necessarily mean bright colors but rather light and dark. This is how we landed on something much simpler for the actual donor recognition panels, and incorporated the rich blue art glass for visual interest. The existing wood paneling created a beautiful backdrop to the display. Although the purpose of this display was to thank their many donors, it was also important to the client to incorporate an element their students could connect with. We achieved this by displaying the introductory statement in Braille as well as printed on the glass. It’s a subtle but elegant detail. The blue art glass also carries over to the Braille dots above the display which spell out the “Transforming Lives” headline.
